Welcome to the Yankton Sioux Tribe, Land of the Friendly People of the Seven Council Fires. Pictured is Thurman Cournoyer, who just won the chairmanship of the Yankton Sioux Tribe. Our tribe is located along the beautiful Missouri River on the Southern Border of South Dakota. If you come to visit you will notice the beauty of our vast landscape. There are many activities and historic attractions on our reservation. Boating, hunting, fishing, and sight seeing are among the many things we have to offer. We also have a newly renovated upscale gaming facility for your enjoyment, that includes a 60+ room hotel and a restaurant and lounge.
